Facility: Alice MacKay Room, Vancouver Public Library
Location:350 West Georgia, Vancouver, BC

More Information: http://readdatingvancouver.wordpress.com

Description:
Read Dating is an opportunity to meet 30 local authors, discuss genres and patron interests, and network with colleagues!

To see the author line-up and to register, go to: http://readdatingvancouver.wordpress.com/

It’s a fun & social event with an educational twist (and no, it’s not actually about dating...). You’ll get a chance to talk shop with authors and ask them those pesky questions you always wanted to know, like, “What’s ...the difference between a police procedural and a cozy mystery? And what makes them different from crime novels?” Authors writing in romance, mystery, thriller, children’s, and YA will be representing their genres!

Format: Like Speed Dating, library staff and authors will engage in quick group exchanges!

Who should attend? All library employees involved in selection, readers’ advisory, or other related duties are invited to attend! SLAIS and Library & Information Technology students are also welcome!

Cost: $10.00 – used to cover the great food!

Swag bags with FREE books!
