Continuing Education Committee needs your input
Greetings all, your Continuing Education Committee needs your input.
We are in the process of putting together classes for the fall and spring that will be offered through the Education Institute. These courses will be offered online as webcasts and teleconferences. What we are wondering is if you have any ideas of classes to present?
Specifically, have you presented a course that you feel would adapt well to this medium? Or have you attended a class recently that you think would be of interest to others, not just in BC but across the country?
Typically the Education Institute classes are about 45 to 90 minutes in length and are usually a combination of telephone conference and webcast. Don’t worry, no HTML skills are required. The subject matter can be very broad, such as virtual reference tips and tricks, or very specific, like starting book clubs for male teens. There is a bit more information about the Education Institute here.
While we obviously won’t be able to act upon every suggestion, we do appreciate the input.
Thank you
BCLA Continuing Education Committee
